Well, thanks for the list - some great inventions indeed! Roads at number one! I don't think so either.
Personal Computer and WW Web at 97 and 99! How surprising!
I notice the American English spelling and usage [plow / eyeglasses / anesthesia / elevator]. It does not specifically mention the greatest invention that my British survey of over 1,000 scientists and members of the public chose.
I'll give you till Monday to work out the answer. Invention number 49 on Maitha's list is on the right track...
