Hello Nada

Nice to hear from you. I'm glad the weekend is here and shall be relaxing hard!

How is life with you and the teeth torturers?

Although your friend has O-level English this does not mean she is ready for IELTS straightaway. OK then she can prepare herself with stuff online for IELTS - you have lots of references or buy an IELTS preparation book such as "Focus on IELTS" by Sue O'Connell which prepares for Academic IELTS.

Personally, I think that most IELTS candidates benefit from doing the IELTS preparation course at the British Council both for the exam strategies and confidence building in using English effectively and accurately. How organised and disciplined is your friend?

Also what do Sana', Mona, Maryam, Mouza, Saeeda and Regi think? You took the course with me and have just done the IELTS. What advice do you give Nada's friend?

Standing by for your advice

Tony

Beacuse it is crystel clear from our own experience

I hope this message is more enough

Al Salamu Alaikum,

In Fact, I do not know a lot about the O-level English. But I definitely know how valuable the IELTS course is. It gives you the guidance for how to deal with the IELTS exam and the skills and tactics required to be able to get the correct answers in the shortest time. I think that the information provided with this course supported by a good commandment of English language will be a good base for getting a high score in the IELTS exam.

I hope that my comment was helpful...

Best Regards,

Sana

Dear Nada,
How are you? Wish you all the best in your IELTS.
As for you friend I think that should would greatly benefit from attending a course at the British Council, as it was really very useful for me although I had a grasp on the language and did not lack much as for the preparation of the exam it really did a great deal of help for me to attend such a course and I met new friends from different nationalities which was a first for me.

Take care.

Regards,
Mouza

I think it is utterly necessary to take the IELTS course because there are loads of things that should be taken into consideration and it isn't a simple examination. In addition, there are lots of tricks and techniques that should be learnt in order to perform the exam easily at least. I don't think by just having O levels Nada's friend would be able to do the IELTS test simply. My advice is that the course is a must and she won't lose anything! Goodluck!
